Interior Design of Living Space
The apartment is located in Belgrade in the leftover space of the attic of a newly constructed building. Though the apartment did not have architecturally defined spaces, it had a few advantages: a high ceiling height with broken and angled planes and a killer view overlooking the city. With a very modest budget, the design, a single architectural element, 'the grid', accentuated the unusual ceiling and created clear living, dining and entry areas; all focused on the amazing view. A playful, continuous grid is sometimes a shelf, sometimes a partition, sometimes the wall; sometimes the grid is hollow, sometimes filled in, and jet other times extruded.
